EU - The amount pesticides or veterinary drug residues found in meat andfood products across Europe is falling and the majority of products pose norisk to public health. According to a new report from the European Food SafetyAuthority on Chemicals in Food, the horse meat scandal in 2013 increased mediaattention on the safety of meat in particular and one issue that emerged wasthe use of veterinary drugs in food-producing animals. However, the report saysthat the data seem to indicate that the situation is largely under control.
