NPPC敦促奥巴马、国会修订原产国标签法

        National Pork Producers Council says quick fix of Country of Origin Labeling law is needed to avoid

 trade retaliation from Mexico and Canada.

        Following the October 20 release of the World Trade Organization (WTO) decision on the U.S. meat

labeling law, the National Pork Producers Council (NPPC) urged the Obama administration and Congress

 to fix the law to avoid trade retaliation from Canada and Mexico.

         As expected, the WTO ruled that the mandatory Country of OriginLabeling (COOL) statute violates 

U.S. international trade obligations by discriminating against Canadian cattle and pigs and Mexican cattle.

 COOL requires meat to be labeled with the country where the animal from which it was derived was born,

 raised and slaughtered.

      美国国家猪肉生产委员会说,需要快速修定原产国标签法，以避免来自墨西哥和加拿大的贸易报复。

      继10月20日世界贸易组织(WTO)对美国肉类标签法的决定发布后,美国猪肉生产者委员会(NPPC)敦促奥巴马政府和国会修订原产国标签法(COOL)法，以避免来自加拿大和墨西哥贸易报复。

      正如预期的那样,世贸组织裁定原产国标签法法违反了美国国际贸易义务,通过歧视加拿大牛和猪和墨西哥牛。原产国标签法(COOL)要求贴上国家的肉类出产国的标签，在哪里出生、饲养及屠宰。
